FMcM, the books PR agency, is looking to expand its marketing function with a creative and strategic marketer who is experienced across the full marketing mix and can bring innovative thinking and results-driven solutions to the team
Location: London - hybrid working, to be determined by circumstances
Period: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign direction
• Devise and run sophisticated, strategic marketing campaigns across FMcM's varied portfolio of clients, tracking effectiveness and providing insights and analysis
• Integrate all marketing activities with FMcM's media, social media and content campaigns to achieve maximum impact for our clients
• Devise and run impactful social media campaigns that meet our clients' goals, providing data and insights, and continually innovate FMcM's work across social media platforms
• Events management including operations and marketing, co-ordinating third parties where relevant
• Oversee all advertising campaigns for clients (across digital and traditional outlets), negotiating and liaising with third-party agencies where relevant
• Work collaboratively with the wider team on campaign ideas, input on all major pitched and proposals, and devise ways for marketing to drive FMcM's output overall
Content creation
• Planning and directing video shoots and overseeing editing, working with internal and external content creators
• Conceiving and directing social media plans, including direction, oversight and production of social media copy and the conception and design of assets
• Supporting the creation of media releases, media kits, proposals, reports, etc.
Management
• Effective client management across all elements of our marketing campaigns, acting as the overall campaign lead where required
• Project management across all marketing campaigns and the client portfolio
• Line management of 1-3 junior members of staff, who will report to this role across content production and campaign implementation
• Some travel may be required
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are keen to consider the widest possible field of candidates: Your experience may be in-house at a publisher or with an agency; or it might be with an NGO, campaigning and advocacy organisation, and your professional passions, while including books, might be centred around gender, race, social justice, or similar issues.
• Several years' experience running strategic and integrated marketing campaigns, including but not limited to, email, website and social media
• Strong awareness and understanding of the UK literary scene
• Experience of working with internal teams, agencies and managing various stakeholders
• Strong project management skills
• Strong awareness of current and future trends in marketing, social media and innovative approaches to promotional work
• Proven copywriting skills, from press releases to social media content
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and team working skills
• Demonstrate outstanding time management, problem solving and organisational skills
• Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize and work to tight deadlines
• Design experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Marketing qualification
• Video experience, including Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar)
• Event management experience
• Experience working with products on Amazon
