About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary/secondary school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified TA to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons Leading small group interventions and targeted support sessions Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs (including SEND where required) Assisting with planning and preparation of classroom resources Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff Promoting positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Previous experience working in a school setting Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable) Excellent communication and teamwork skills A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach What the School Offers: A supportive and collaborative staff team Opportunities for continued professional development A positive and inclusive school environment The chance to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ lives All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
