We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests at The Oak Inn.
Duties
* Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operation during peak hours.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
* Follow proper portion control guidelines to minimise waste while maintaining quality.
* Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
