Aureos are hiring for a HSQE Advisor to join our Highways team based in Penrith, Cumbria. This is a permanent office/site-based role.
The role will involve the provision of competent health, safety, quality (assurance) and site environmental advice supporting the A66 NTP Project. Ensuring inspections and guidance for the site staff and management team is carried out. Providing challenge where required and not walking by. Promotion of safe equipment, standards and method of working. Showing the behaviours expected and leading by example at all times.
Primary Tasks and Duties
* Be a visible presence on site to identify unsafe working practices and conditions.
* Encourage quality contributions and ensure timely close out and feedback is actioned, promote lessons learnt and good practice sharing.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with site teams, clients and other stakeholders.
* Promotion of health and wellbeing support and directing staff where required.
* Prepare and deliver workforce (including subcontractors) engagement (toolbox talks, awareness sessions).
* Lead on and support incident investigations.
* Proactively improve in reducing risk through the planning process.
* Take an active role in developing, maintaining and promoting a positive HSQE culture.
