General Operative: Oiler/Greaser · BSW Dalbeattie, DG5 4PL · Back Shifts We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our workforce within our Green Mill operations at BSW Timber, Dalbeattie. As a Greaser/Lubricator you will be assisting in the preventative maintenance of the sawmill machinery in order to maintain efficient milling operations. Specifically, some responsibilities of a Greaser in our Green Mill may include: · All aspects of scheduled lubrication on various types of machinery throughout the production lines and across the mill. · Lubricating moving part of heavy equipment throughout the mill. · Changing oil in machine reservoirs; Cleaning and replacing oil filters. · Ensuring swift clean-up of any hazards including sawdust, oil spills, etc. · Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to and kept up to date. · Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices. About you: We’re seeking a motivated and hardworking individual who understands the value of the machinery they are tasked with maintaining and the importance of their role in the overall sawmilling operation. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have: · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. · Good organisational skills and attention to detail. · An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety. · Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role. · Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous. · Ideally, successful candidates will hold a Full Drivers Licence, however this is not essential.
