We are now looking for a motivated and experienced Duty Housekeeper to join our fantastic corporate housekeeping team at The McIndoe Centre. As a visible and proactive leader, you’ll be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout our hospital – from patient rooms to staff areas – while supervising a team of Housekeeping Assistants. You’ll also support the Housekeeping Manager and play a key part in upholding our infection control and quality protocols. Key Duties: Organising and supervising day-to-day housekeeping tasks. Ensuring team performance and addressing any issues or concerns. Working hands-on alongside your team to lead by example. Managing stock levels of linen, cleaning supplies, and PPE. Completing audits and documentation to meet compliance standards. Deputising for the Housekeeping Manager as needed. About you: Experienced in housekeeping, ideally in a hospital or healthcare environment. Confident leading teams and supervising daily operations. Customer-focused, friendly, and professional in every interaction. Organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise tasks. Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead Contract Type: Permanent Shift Pattern: 32.50 hours per week Includes weekends (1 in 3) and Bank Holidays (2 per year) Salary: From £23,809.50 to £25,057.50 per annum (experience dependent) Please note that the salary shown on this advert is the full-time equivalent. Salary will be pro-rata in line with contracted part-time hours.
