Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Level 3 business administration or equivalent experience
2. Knowledge of routine and non-routine secretarial and administrative procedures and systems as used by Clinical Engineering, such as medical devices governance procedures and equipment management data manipulation.
3. Knowledge of specialist functional/medical/clinical equipment terms, international medical devices nomenclatures
4. Knowledge of medical devices organisational policies and procedures
5. English GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent)
6. Maths GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent)
Experience
Essential criteria
7. Min 3 years office experience
Desirable criteria
8. Experience of working in a hospital environment
9. Front line help and support in a busy environment
Skills
Essential criteria
10. Good communication skills both verbal and written
11. Good numerate skills
12. Ability to organise an office
13. Understanding of customer care skills
14. Effective team member
15. Ability to prioritise work
16. Ability to work on own initiative
17. Knowledge of the operation and first line fault-finding of common medical equipment
18. Ability to problem-solve non-routine issues
Knowledge
Essential criteria
19. Clear understanding of specialist medical and medical device terminology
20. Competent in use of Microsoft Office applications
21. Able to use a variety of computer databases
22. Knowledge and experience to deal with
23. non-routine issues such as first line problem solving for a specific area of work or adapting alternative or additional procedures
