Overview
The Head of Legal and Compliance will oversee Dabble UK's legal and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to UKGC LCCP, AML regulations, UK GDPR, and other relevant laws. This strategic role involves developing compliance programs, providing legal counsel, and fostering a culture of compliance. The candidate will liaise with regulators and industry bodies to mitigate risks and ensure operational integrity, with deep knowledge of UK policies and industry regulations.
Primary Location
This role is open to candidates based in Leeds and surrounding areas, with consideration for other UK locations.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
* Develop and implement compliance programs for UKGC LCCP requirements, including social responsibility, AML, and fair gaming
* Monitor regulatory changes and update policies accordingly
* Oversee UK compliance frameworks, including self-exclusion, AML measures, affordability checks, and safer gambling tools
* Ensure timely regulatory reporting
* Implement AML policies such as CDD, KYC, and suspicious activity reporting
* Provide legal advice on contracts, governance, data protection, and consumer rights
* Review and negotiate commercial agreements
* Manage litigation and regulatory investigations
* Lead UK GDPR compliance efforts
* Ensure advertising content complies with UKGC, ASA, and CAP guidelines
* Update leadership on regulatory changes and risks
* Prepare briefings on legislative trends

Skills & Qualifications
* Proven expertise in UKGC regulations, AML, and GDPR
* Experience in gambling or highly regulated industries preferred
* Track record with UK regulators and compliance programs
* Strong analytical skills

* Exceptional communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently
* Qualifications in compliance, law, or risk management
* 10+ years in legal/regulatory compliance, with 5+ in leadership
* Bachelor’s degree or qualified solicitor/barrister in England and Wales (preferred)

Remuneration
The salary range for this position is £100,000 - £110,000 plus benefits, with flexibility.
