You will be part of our Dietetic Prescribing team, working closely with the Integrated Care Board of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (ICB LLR) Medicines Optimisation Team, GPs, and practice staff across Primary Care Networks. Your role will focus on ensuring the effective use of oral nutritional supplements (ONS) and adherence to The Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Area Prescribing Committee (LLR APC) ONS guidelines.
The role is evolving, with potential involvement in reviewing other prescribable nutritional products in the future.
You will collaborate with GP surgeries within one or more Primary Care Networks and with care homes in the locality, taking responsibility for clinical input, training, service evaluations, and development in delegated care homes.
You will work closely with our Dietetic Support Workers, including line management and supervision.
We are seeking enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated Band 6 Dietitians to join our successful Prescribing Dietetic Team. There may be opportunities to rotate into other specialties depending on capacity and funding.
Due to the success of our current Dietetic Prescribing Support team, additional funding has been secured on a permanent basis to expand the team further.
You will join an existing team with strong links to the Medicines Optimisation Teams, working towards embedding dietetic services within Primary Care Networks.
The role involves a mix of remote and face-to-face duties, offering flexibility in service delivery. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time hours (minimum 22.5 hours).
A valid UK driving licence and access to a car during working hours are essential. The base location will be agreed based on the geographical area covered.
