Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing | Scotland
Alexander Steele is delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing food business located in one of Scotland’s most attractive regions to recruit an experienced Technical Manager. This senior role is central to maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and compliance, while also supporting innovation and the launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and maintain the company’s Quality Management System
* Manage BRCGS Issue 9 audits and ensure all internal and external inspections run smoothly
* Oversee technical documentation, traceability systems, and the investigation of customer complaints
* Conduct internal audits, support external audits, and ensure regulatory compliance
* Train and mentor staff on SOPs, policies, and procedures
* Maintain rigorous standards in food safety, GMP, GHP, and QC processes
* Support new product development to ensure compliant and successful launches
Requirements:
* Degree in Food Science or a related discipline
* Strong knowledge of BRCGS Issue 9 standards and HACCP principles
* Experience in internal audits within a food manufacturing environment
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Confidence in managing digital documentation systems
