As a General Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced teachers to support learning in and out of the classroom. You’ll help pupils stay focused, build confidence, and access the curriculum through encouragement, guidance, and tailored support. This role is ideal for those seeking part-time work that fits around other commitments while still gaining valuable school-based experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting teaching and learning in a Key Stage 2 classroom
• Working with small groups and individual pupils as needed
• Assisting pupils with SEN to access learning activities
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting behaviour management and classroom routines
• Preparing learning resources and supporting lesson delivery
• Supervising pupils during transitions and break times
