Waking Watch Carer
Hours – 36 hours per week (3 x 12 hour shifts per week). Shifts are on a 4‑week rota basis and include some weekends.

Motivated and enthusiastic person required to join an established team of carers to deliver care to our 25‑year‑old young man with complex care needs living in his family home.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, backed by previous health care experience. Driving licence essential. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required. Our son has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is wheelchair‑bound. He is highly dependent and needs maximum assistance; he requires full personal care.
The candidate will work three waking watch shifts each week (12 hours per shift from 19:30 pm to 07:30 am – 36 hours per week) including weekends and will assist the team in covering holidays and sickness periods of other care team members. Care is provided on a 2:1 basis so you will be working with another carer at all times.
The candidate will also be required to accompany Jack on holidays.
Duties
* Providing all health care, moving and handling of Jack
* Feeding, personal hygiene and care
* Accompanying Jack on social events (Cinema, Pub etc.)
* House duties including cleaning, washing and ironing

Salary
£16.22 per hour for week nights. £17.30 per hour for weekends.
