In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the sortation area, ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe movement of goods through our warehouse.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, and support a team of warehouse operatives within the sortation departmentOrganise daily work schedules and ensure targets for throughput, accuracy, and productivity are consistently metMonitor sortation equipment, promptly addressing issues or reporting defectsEnsure all goods are sorted correctly and moved to the correct loading or storage areasMaintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring all staff follow site proceduresProvide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team membersComplete shift reports, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement initiativesWork closely with other warehouse departments to maintain smooth end-to-end operationsAssist with onboarding new staff and promoting a positive, collaborative working environmentSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse or logistics environment ideally Knowledge of sortation systems and warehouse processesStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesGood level of IT literacy (WMS experience is an advantage)Strong understanding of workplace health & safety standardsA proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
