Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant: * Work across multiple classes, primarily within the Additional Resource Provision (ARP), providing tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEND). * Provide one-on-one and small group support, ensuring that students receive the necessary assistance to engage effectively with their learning. * Foster a warm, caring, and supportive environment to help students feel safe, confident, and motivated to learn. * Support students with a range of core subjects, including Reading, Writing, and Maths, helping them build fundamental skills. * Be passionate and dedicated about working with children with SEN, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. * Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create a cohesive learning experience. * Provide regular feedback on student progress, identifying areas of improvement and adapting strategies accordingly. The successful candidate will: * Provide classroom support to teachers, helping to deliver engaging lessons. * Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning. * Assist in planning and delivering targeted interventions for students who need additional support. * Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on-task. * Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Requirements of a Teaching Assistant The ideal candidate will: * Have a passion for delivering high-quality and exciting opportunities for young people. * Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with pupils, staff, and parents. * Have superb attention to detail and organisational skills. * Be self-motivated, dedicated, and consistent. * Hold a current First Aid certificate or be prepared to undertake training. * Possess a relevant Level 3 qualification (desirable).
