Are you passionate about empowering people to rebuild their lives? Do you believe everyone deserves safety, stability, and the chance to move forward? If so, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
We’re seeking a compassionate, proactive Support Worker to join our team working with people who have experienced homelessness and are now living in independent, dispersed accommodation across Oxford. Our clients may have support needs around substance use, mental health, or past offending, and your role will be to walk alongside them as they take the next steps toward long-term independence.
What you’ll be doing
Providing person-centred, trauma-informed support to individuals living in community-based accommodation.
Building empowering, respectful relationships that help people grow in confidence and stability.
Working proactively with partner agencies—such as health services, probation, substance use teams, and social care—to ensure a genuinely holistic support package.
Supporting clients through the move-on process, from identifying suitable housing to settling into their new home.
Completing risk assessments, support plans, and case recording with clarity and accuracy.
Ensuring a safe, welcoming environment across our properties, including occasional room cleaning or clearance when needed.
Contributing positively to team culture, service development, and organisational goals.
What we’re looking for
Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within homelessness, housing, social care, or a related field.
A calm, confident approach to managing challenging situations safely and professionally.
Someone who understands the value of trauma-informed practice and puts it into action.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—teamwork and partnership working are at the heart of what we do.
Organised, reliable, compassionate, and committed to helping people progress on their journey toward independence.
Why join us?
You’ll become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team where your voice matters and your work has real impact. No two days look the same, but each one gives you the chance to make life-changing differences for the people we support.
If you’re motivated, empathetic, and ready for a role that’s both challenging and deeply rewarding, we’d love to hear from you.
