Role Overview The SharePoint Developer will lead the design, creation, and initial setup of TSL’s SharePoint environment, establishing the foundation for how the platform will support our business operations. This will include configuring structures, permissions, and workflows in line with governance standards, and ensuring the system is optimised for both current and future business needs. Once implemented, the role will focus on the enhancement, optimisation, and ongoing maintenance of the platform – delivering user-friendly solutions, supporting process standardisation, and providing technical expertise to ensure SharePoint continues to meet the evolving needs of the organisation. Main Duties and Responsibilities for the SharePoint Developer: Design and implement TSL’s SharePoint environment, including site architecture, navigation, document libraries, lists, and permissions. Work with the Systems Team and stakeholders to gather requirements for the platform’s structure and functionality. Ensure the initial SharePoint deployment aligns with governance standards, compliance requirements, and ISO 19650 principles. Configure security groups and permissions to ensure data integrity and controlled access. Develop workflows, forms, and automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, and related Microsoft 365 tools. Support migration of existing content and systems into SharePoint, ensuring structure, consistency, and data accuracy. Customise SharePoint pages and layouts to improve usability, navigation, and user engagement. Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues, and delivering improvements based on feedback. Maintain and optimise the SharePoint platform, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, collaboration, and process alignment. Document build processes, configurations, and updates to ensure transparency, continuity, and governance compliance. Collaborate with the Systems Team to ensure SharePoint integrates with other business systems and supports company-wide digital strategy. Skills and Experience Required for the SharePoint Developer: Essential: Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying SharePoint Online environments from the ground up. Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and governance principles. Experience in building and customising SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and pages. Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform tools, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps. Knowledge of permissions management, security groups, and compliance controls in SharePoint. Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve SharePoint-related issues efficiently. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering fully complete, user-ready solutions. Highly Desirable: Experience integrating SharePoint with other business systems or third-party tools. Knowledge of ISO 19650 document control principles. Familiarity with construction or engineering industry workflows. Basic skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SharePoint customisation. Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI. Other Requirements: Valid driving licence. Right to work in the UK.
