Overview
Retail Sales Assistant. 8 hour contract.
Become a brand ambassador for The Works. You’ll deliver exceptional service, spark conversations, and help customers with their shopping missions, from discovering new products to finding perfect gifts. You’ll keep the store well-stocked, tidy, safe, and welcoming, working with teammates to ensure smooth store operations.
Responsibilities
* Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to every customer.
* Maintain store standards, including merchandising, cleanliness, and stock replenishment.
* Operate tills accurately and handle transactions with care.
* Assist with deliveries, stockroom organisation, and product availability.
* Follow all operational procedures, including health and safety and loss prevention.
* As a Keyholder (if applicable), open/close the store, support cash handling and store security.
* Work with the team to meet store targets and KPIs.
* Stay informed about promotions, products, and services to help customers make informed choices.
* Be a brand ambassador—positive, professional, and passionate about our work.
* The role can be physically demanding (stairs and heavy stock); team support is available.
Key Qualifications / Skills
* Passion for delivering great customer service.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible to varied shifts.
* Comfortable using tills and handling cash.
* Previous experience in customer service or hospitality.
* Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* For Keyholders: basic supervisory responsibilities and store opening/closing experience.
