In this position, you will be responsible for investigating breaches of highway legislation, enforcing compliance, and ensuring that public land is used appropriately and lawfully. You will bring experience from a regulatory, enforcement, or public service background, and demonstrate a calm, assertive approach to resolving complex issues. Your knowledge of the Highways Act 1980 and related legislation will be complemented by your ability to apply policy consistently and fairly.You will be an excellent communicator, able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and manage challenging situations with professionalism and tact. You will be organised, resilient, and committed to delivering high-quality services that reflect the County Council’s CARE values.
