Applications are invited for 3 posts of Lecturer in Law (Teaching Focus) in the Department of Law and Criminology. The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the Faculty of Business and Law. It is a forward thinking, inter-disciplinary and research active department, which offers undergraduate programmes in Law (LLB), Criminology & Psychology, Criminology & Sociology and Social Sciences; together with Masters programmes in Social Work, Forensic Psychology, and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies. The Department is also home to an energetic research community and prides itself on its commitment to social justice which is underlined in its teaching, research, and external activities.
We seek 3 outstanding teaching focus academics in Law to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The Lecturer in Law post is offered on the teaching focus track, which requires colleagues to engage in scholarship activities, defined by the University as ‘the systematic study of the processes and outcomes of teaching, learning and assessment in such a way that it advances teaching and can be shared with others, as well as applied to teaching and learning contexts. It also includes keeping up with the scholarship of others.’
Responsibilities
 * The position will involve teaching undergraduate core subjects on our LLB Course.
 * We are interested in candidates with teaching expertise in Clinical Legal Education and/or some of the following core or optional law subjects: Criminal Law, Contract Law, Equity and Trusts, Land Law, Employment Law, Law of Evidence, Corporate and Commercial Law, Family Law.
