Overview

Are you someone who can plan, organise and think ahead? Do you enjoy solving problems, meeting deadlines and achieving goals?

We are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Controller at Sandal Wakefield. The importance of this key role is paramount to Sandal; being one of the largest privately owned BMW/MINI Retailers in the area, our aim is to deliver a premium service to our customers. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the following.

Responsibilities

* Supervising the Workshop and its staff in order to achieve an agreed level of quality, efficiency and profitability.
* Carrying out Quality Control checks to ensure that the work carried out meets the highest level of customer expectation and to confirm that good working practices are being applied.
* Monitoring and measuring repeat repairs in order that preventative actions may be implemented as required.

This is a great opportunity for an existing Workshop Controller, or an established Senior Service Advisor, who is determined to test and prove that they’re ready for the next step in their career with a prestige brand.

About the Team and Opportunity

The Service Department at Sandal Wakefield is a fast moving facility with a 24 bay Workshop, Tyre Bay, Valet Bay and MOT facility. We are looking for a candidate to add value and to contribute to the ongoing success of the company. You will be a confident professional who has an ability to organise your team. By offering solutions and advice you will maintain good levels of communication within the Sandal Group.

We will provide an in-depth training programme that will allow the successful candidate to take charge of key areas of the department, organising their staff and ensuring that our business objectives are achieved.

Requirements

* Previous retail motor industry experience at dealership level is essential, as is a full driving licence.
* Ability to organise and lead a team; strong problem solving, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
* A logical, results- and outcomes-focused mindset to deliver the best experience for customers.

We offer

* An attractive salary with bonuses with an OTE £40,000.
* 24 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), which increases with your length of service up to 26 days.
* An extra paid day off for your birthday.
* Access to a car benefit scheme.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a significant impact within a prestigious brand, we’d love to hear from you! Please write with a full CV and a covering letter stating why you should be considered for this key role, including details of your notice period.
