Responsibilities of the Buyer:
* Manage materials procurement for allocated projects, balancing cost, quality, and availability to ensure the best value.
* Provide an effective procurement capability to the production facility.
* Update order availability in the ERP system.
* Be a central point of contact for manufacturing and suppliers.
* Monitor supplier performance, quality, and cost.
* Mitigate supply chain risk through identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers, whilst identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
Experience:
* Proven experience as a Buyer within the construction sector.
* Knowledge of materials such as concrete, aggregates, rebar, and steel.
* Excellent negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
