As our food van business continues to grow, Pigs In is looking for a new team member to join us from June.
We’re a family-run outdoor pig farm bringing high-quality British pork to events across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. Our food van is a key part of the business, and we’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic individual to help deliver great food and excellent customer service at events.
This is a flexible, part-time role (15–20 hours per week) based around our event schedule, including weekends.
The Role
You will support the day-to-day running of our food van at events, helping to prepare and serve food, interact with customers, and ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and serving food from our mobile catering van
* Delivering friendly, high-quality customer service
* Supporting set-up and pack-down at events
* Maintaining high food hygiene and safety standards
* Assisting with general event operations
Requirements
* Passion for British food and cooking
* Comfortable driving a low loader van
* Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred – training can be provided)
* Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred)
