In this key Manufacturing Management role, you'll be responsible for driving performance by managing a skilled team of technicians in a complex assembly environment, coordinating production activities, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
We are innovating heavily, and as such, we need a driven individual who can support and help continue to grow the team in an evolving environment rather than just maintaining the status quo.
As Manufacturing / Production Manager, you’ll be:
* Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of your skilled team/s in production, ensuring OTD, KPIs are met. You will have a strong shop floor presence and inspire and lead by example.
* Continue to develop a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the personal development of your team/s in production.
* Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet daily and weekly production targets.
* Monitor performance metrics, report on progress, and drive actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Manage budgets related to labour, overtime, and production costs, ensuring resources are used effectively.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives and visual management practices (e.g., 5S).
* Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, driving a culture of safety first.
* Investigate production issues and incidents thoroughly, lead root cause analysis, and implement lasting corrective actions.
To succeed in this key Manufacturing Management role, you will ideally be:
An experienced Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager / Operations Manager
* Experience leading medium – large production teams
* Ideally assembly manufacturing experience.
* Ideally degree qualified in an Engineering/Manufacturing related discipline or with relevant industry experience.
* The ability to embrace change and handle multiple priorities.
Likely to suit individuals with a background as: Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Operations Manager, Production Operations Leader, Head of Production or similar
