Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Meat Sales Manager to join the growing Commercial Team. In this role, you will report to the Head of Business Unit and take full responsibility for developing your own portfolio of meat customers across retail, wholesale, and catering butchers. Your primary focus will be on driving sales growth across all protein categories while ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities


* Be informed, passionate, and engaging about selling the range of products and services.
* Actively build a network within the industry, identifying new business opportunities and converting them into long-term customers.
* Build annual forecasts and budgets, responsible for customer P&L, and regularly report performance to customers and internal stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with the Category and Marketing teams, utilising category data and marketing plans to drive consistent sales growth.
* Develop supply chains and product development plans in line with customer expectations.
* Explore opportunities within the market and successfully onboard new customers.


Skills


* Fresh FMCG or Meat industry experience (ideal but not essential).
* Proven track record of successful sales management and conversion of new customers.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experience of presenting to customers and internal teams.
* Budget and forecasting management skills.
* A strategic thinker with the ability to lead projects and work well in a team.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.


Requirements


* Strong understanding of the meat industry and customer needs.
* A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
* Organisational skills to handle multiple customer accounts and projects simultaneously.
