As a Project Manager you will be accountable to the Portfolio Project Manager for successful delivery of all aspects of their assigned projects. The Project Manager sets the project execution strategy in agreement with the client PPM and uses a cross-functional project team to deliver the project safely in line with company policies and procedures, achieving established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
Responsibilities
* Good, detailed understanding of a wide range of project management competencies and be able to evaluate and adopt them within a complex project environment, including experience of executing most of the project management competencies by managing a number of complex projects
* The Work Pack/Project Manager is responsible for delivering the projects and achieving the goals and objectives.
* Collaborate with the Technical Leads or Responsible Engineers amongst other stakeholders, to ensure the definition of and common understanding of the requirements and objectives of the work area. Responsible for ensuring that this is turned into an agreed scope of work and that appropriate resources are identified to enable delivery of agreed scope in line with agreed Time, Cost and Quality and priority requirements.
* Knowledge of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction and installation/commissioning management and commercial contracting
* Experience of brown-field projects
* Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
* Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
* Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
* APMP Project Management Qualification or equivalent
* Experience of dealing with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders
* Desirable: Experience of brown-field projects
* Desirable: Ideally degree educated in engineering or related subject, and a chartered engineer (or equivalent professional qualification) but not essential
