Join us as a Self‑Employed Health & Wellbeing Coach. You will deliver our evidence‑based, behaviour‑change diabetes prevention programme, working face‑to‑face across Halifax, Huddersfield and occasionally throughout West Yorkshire. Candidates must live near these areas, have a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Pay & Availability
Pay is £50 per 90‑minute session. Expected availability is 12–20 hours per week. Training and certification of the NDPP and other interventions are provided by Reed Master Trainers.
Responsibilities
* Deliver Reed Wellbeing's group‑based diabetes prevention programme in a professional, engaging and motivational style, following our curriculum and resources.
* Tailor and adapt the delivery approach to maximise participant engagement and learning.
* Actively promote the programme within the community in line with national and local guidelines.
* Assist line management to coordinate and plan service delivery.
* Support and monitor participant progression, accurately capture relevant data, quality‑assure delivery and fulfil commissioner reporting.
* Proactively contribute ideas to support service improvement.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Diabetes, Education, Nutrition or Fitness.
* Passion for health and wellbeing with an enthusiastic and genuine approach to helping participants improve their health.
* Engaging and empathetic communication.
* Ability to coach individuals and groups to identify solutions and develop knowledge and skills to support behavioural or lifestyle changes.
* Well‑organised and strong team ethos.
* Willingness to be flexible in hours (incl. evenings and weekends).
* Willingness and ability to undertake initial training and CPD as required.
* Fluent in community languages is desirable.
