Job description
Are you an organised and motivated individual with a passion for property and asset management? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Property Asset Assistant (Estates) to support the Strategic Asset Manager in delivering high-quality property services within the Finance and Property Service.
The Role
As a Property Asset Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the management and administration of the Council's property estate, including leases, licences, and tenancy agreements
* Supporting the Strategic Asset Manager in delivering property reviews and optimisation projects
* Conducting regular inspections of Council properties and reporting on condition and maintenance requirements
* Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective property utilisation
* Providing administrative support, including maintaining accurate property records and databases
* Dealing with enquiries from tenants, lessees, and third parties
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
* A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Basic understanding of property management principles would be advantageous
