Bookkeeper
Location: Stockport, Manchester
Salary: Up to 38,000 DOE + bonus
Hours: Monday - Friday, full time, 9am - 5pm

Our client is a fast-growing and respected business within the insurance and accident management sector. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You will play a key role in maintaining our financial records and supporting smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
* Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
* Track and categorize expenses to ensure proper reporting.
* Prepare and assist with monthly financial reports (profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
* Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
* Maintain organized records for audits and tax purposes.
* Collaborate with management and external accountants as needed.
* Use accounting software (Xero, Sage) to maintain up-to-date records.
