A leading global biopharmaceutical company focused on advancing cutting-edge therapies in oncology, is seeking an experienced and passionate Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team. This freelance opportunity offers the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional travel to key stakeholders in the UK.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in oncology, with a specific focus on lung cancer, and will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to support the company’s scientific and clinical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a key scientific resource on oncology, with a primary focus on lung cancer, to healthcare professionals, investigators, and external thought leaders (e.g., oncologists, clinical trial investigators, KOLs).
* Support the planning, execution, and promotion of clinical trials, especially those related to lung cancer treatments, by acting as a liaison between the company and the medical community.
* Collaborate with the clinical operations team to ensure the effective recruitment of clinical trial sites and investigators for lung cancer studies.
* Provide ongoing support to clinical trial sites, ensuring they have the necessary scientific and medical information for successful trial execution.
* Conduct regular visits to healthcare providers, hospitals, and research institutions to support the delivery of scientific information, focusing on lung cancer therapies.
* Provide medical insights on the latest developments in lung cancer research and treatment, ensuring alignment with the company’s products and pipeline.
Qualifications and Experience
* Advanced degree in life sciences or a medical degree
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in oncology, with significant expertise in lung cancer.
* Proven track record of engaging with KOLs, clinicians, and research investigators in the oncology space, particularly in lung cancer.
* Strong understanding of lung cancer biology, treatments, clinical trials, and emerging therapies in the oncology field.
* Ability to interpret clinical trial data and effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
* Experience in the launch of new oncology products, especially those related to lung cancer.
* Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the UK and EU related to medical affairs and clinical research.
