Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) – Aesthetic Surgical Support Location: Various sites across the UK and Ireland Reporting to: Regional MD / Global Clinical & Medical Director Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join a leading clinical team in the aesthetics space. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting safe, effective, and high-quality minimally invasive surgical procedures. This includes live case assistance, protocol implementation, clinician training, and ensuring clinical environments are fully compliant with healthcare standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of clinical protocols and education programs while helping standardise best practices across the UK and Ireland. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support & Surgical Assistance Assist clinicians during minimally invasive procedures using advanced aesthetic technologies. Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and instruments. Monitor patients during procedures and respond to clinical needs. Training & Education Support onboarding and training of new clinicians. Deliver in-theatre guidance and contribute to training content. Collaborate with the clinical team to standardise surgical workflows. Support clinical workshops and live training events. Governance & Compliance Adhere to infection control and clinical safety protocols. Maintain accurate records and participate in clinical audits. Support regulatory compliance, including SOP adherence. Equipment Oversight Ensure surgical devices and kits are clean, complete, and functional. Coordinate maintenance or servicing when required. Leadership & Development Help shape clinical protocols and pathways. Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. Identify training gaps and recommend improvements. Qualifications & Experience HCPC-registered ODP or NMC-registered Theatre Nurse with relevant ODP experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience in theatre, ideally in aesthetics or plastic surgery. Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation. Confident communicator with a team-focused mindset. Willingness to travel and support multiple sites across the UK and Ireland. Passion for innovation and high standards in aesthetic care. Desirable (but not essential): Experience with energy-based devices (e.g., RF, laser, etc.). Background in clinical training or SOP development. Familiarity with private healthcare standards and CQC guidelines.
