Job Summary We are pleased to announce a new 16-bed service based in Doncaster, welcoming patients from Rotherham, Doncaster, and North Lincolnshire.
The unit supports patients with complex mental health issues focusing on rehabilitation. Patients may stay up to 12 months, receiving recovery-focused care through a multi-professional approach.
The role involves working as a member of an inpatient Occupational Therapy team, providing high-quality therapeutic activities under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist, both individually and in groups for service users with acute mental health needs.
If you do not already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, RDaSH offers this position alongside the opportunity to complete a relevant Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.
As an apprentice, you will gain experience, develop work-related skills, and receive all necessary tools to succeed. The apprenticeship includes regular training, with about 20% of working hours dedicated to training or studying, leading to a nationally recognized qualification.

Main duties of the job Carrying out individual therapeutic intervention programs and providing feedback based on assessments and treatment goals set by the Senior Occupational Therapist.
Assisting in community-based individual assessments.
Working with service users to develop independent living skills and work towards recovery and vocational goals for discharge.
Performing Occupational Therapy interventions in community settings and patients' homes without direct supervision.
Conducting group work and evaluating activities collaboratively with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
Providing accurate and timely verbal and written updates on patient progress.
Services may also be delivered in community settings as appropriate.
