Barclays is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Onboarding Senior Subject Matter Expert to help shape and support the future of customer onboarding within the Payments space. This is a key role in designing and delivering advanced models and analytics to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness, while supporting seamless onboarding journeys.
To be successful as an Onboarding Senior Subject Matter Expert, you should have experience with:
* Data science, modelling, analytics, or onboarding, particularly within Payments or Financial Services.
* Industry insight into customer onboarding and the wider payments lifecycle.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across functions.
You may be assessed on key skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be located at our Northampton or Sunderland office.
Purpose of the role
To support Wholesale Onboarding with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
* Support with day-to-day Wholesale Onboarding initiatives including KYC processing, reviewing (which can include Quality Checking), reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
* Engage with clients and front office to gather Customer Due Diligence information/evidence to onboard or refresh a client's KYC in line with policy.
* Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Onboarding processes.
* Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes in Wholesale Onboarding processes.
* Develop and implement procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
* Create reports and presentations on Wholesale Onboarding performance and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
* Stay updated on industry trends to implement best practices in Wholesale Onboarding.
* Participate in projects to improve onboarding efficiency and effectiveness.
