Director, Division of Gynecologic Oncology
Montefiore Health System invites applications for the Director, Division of Gynecologic Oncology. This physician‑leadership role oversees the academic, clinical, research, and educational programs of the Gynecologic Oncology faculty within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Department: Division of General OBGYN Work Shift: Day Work Days: Monday‑Friday Scheduled Hours: Vary (approximately 8 hours daily)
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Department Chair, the Division Director will become the physician head of the Gynecologic Oncology service, leading the development of multi‑year plans that align with departmental, college, and cancer center strategic objectives. The Director will also oversee clinical service lines across multiple hospital sites, manage the academic and translational research agenda, and support fellowship and residency training.
THE CANDIDATE
* Board‑certified in Gynecologic Oncology.
* Academic rank of Associate Professor or higher.
* Experience leading a large, distributed clinical division in an academic medical center.
* Proven record of clinical excellence, scholarship, and, ideally, grant funding or research contracts.
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
* Commitment to education of fellows, residents, and medical students.
* Eligibility to hold or obtain a New York State medical license.
Discrete Activities and Responsibilities of the Division Director
Education
* Collaborate with the Fellowship Director and faculty to ensure compliance with institutional, ACGME, and ABOG policies.
* Ensure faculty meet educational objectives and provide instructional opportunities for all trainee levels.
Clinical
* Prioritize patient satisfaction, quality, and safety initiatives.
* Provide coverage for all clinical activities at all sites, including call and emergency coverage.
* Distribute clinical workload in accordance with faculty effort expectations.
Administrative
* Ensure compliance with all departmental and institutional regulations.
* Maintain timely, consistent communication of key issues.
* Promote faculty development through customized plans and performance reviews.
* Foster a culture of professionalism within the division.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary: $560,000.00–$700,000.00 annually. Eligible for long‑term and short‑term disability, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
