Overview
As our Teacher of Music, you will deliver a broad and relevant curriculum across KS3 and KS4 while establishing a positive learning experience where students of all abilities achieve their full academic potential. You will share our commitment to raising standards of attainment, closing gaps between groups of students and fostering an environment where students are inspired and empowered for life. You will work closely with the Performing Arts Faculty to raise the culture of performance across the school, communicate effectively with parents and bring a firm belief that every child in our diverse community can succeed. Responsibilities
* Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum to students of varying ages and abilities.
* Establish a positive learning experience that supports all students to achieve their full academic potential.
* Support student and staff choirs, whole-school productions and initiatives to raise the culture of performance across the school.
* Monitor and support the progress and development of students while contributing to the closing of attainment gaps.
* Share and support the delivery of students' personal development and academic growth as both a teacher and tutor.
* Prepare and develop schemes of work and resources that utilise ICT to enhance the curriculum.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies to ensure a positive, subject-focused learning environment.
* Communicate regularly and productively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour and development.
* Contribute positively to the Performing Arts Faculty by sharing best practice and participating in academic and pastoral meetings.
