Summary In this context, we are looking for a Senior Configuration Engineer, reporting to the Configuration Manager, to lead the embedding of configuration and change management across the organisation. This role is key to delivering an accurate, integrated product baseline and ensuring changes are effectively assessed, governed and implemented across the programme. Key Responsibilities We’ll need you to: Leading change management processes organisation‑wide through training, coaching and continuous support. Managing design baselines, Bills of Materials, authorised changes, and configuration maturity. Integrating components, assemblies and systems across discipline boundaries. Developing best‑in‑class configuration processes, tools, reporting and analytics, including interfaces with BIM. As you can see, this is a pivotal, high‑impact role where you’ll bring first‑class organisation, technical insight and a collaborative mindset to shape a truly transformative engineering programme. Essential Skills / Qualifications A recognised qualification in engineering, systems, configuration or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable industry experience. We’ll ask about your experience leading change control, managing baselines and applying configuration governance in complex engineering environments. Strong knowledge of configuration tools, data structures, product breakdown structures, and ideally experience interfacing with BIM or digital engineering systems. Location We offer hybrid working, with regular attendance expected at one of our primary sites: Derby, Manchester or Warrington, depending on your base location. What’s in it for you?
