Our highly regarded Dorset Steps to Wellbeing services are recruiting for the North Dorset, Purbeck and East Dorset Localities.
We are looking for an individual with energy, enthusiasm, and a high level of skill and experience. All staff will work as part of a team and receive regular clinical supervision. The successful candidate will offer a combination of face‑to‑face and online therapy and is expected to work at least one evening per week until 20:00.

Main duties of the job
You will provide one‑to‑one high‑intensity CBT within a stepped care model for adults with common mental health problems, including depression and a range of anxiety disorders.
Good administrative, time management and communication skills are essential. Experience of working within the NHS or a similar organisation is highly desirable.
Driving is essential for this role. You will be required to have a full and valid UK driving licence and to travel using your own vehicle on Trust business.

Person Specification
Educational Requirements / Qualifications
* Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course [Post Graduate Diploma]
* Accreditation with an appropriate professional body (HPC, BABCP)
* Significant experience as a psychological therapy practitioner demonstrating required competences.
* Recorded/registered qualification in one of nursing, social work, occupational therapy or a psychological therapy plus further postgraduate qualification training in CBT.
* Recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology.

* Ability to use clinical supervision and case management positively and effectively.

* Ability to drive with access to transport to meet service requirements.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge Base
* Demonstrated experience of working in mental health services with clients presenting a range of mental health issues and degrees of complexity.
* Ability to meet agreed/service targets.
* Ability to manage own caseload and time.
* Well‑developed computer/digital skills and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families/carers and other professional colleagues.
* Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.
* Demonstrated understanding of anxiety and depression and how they may present in primary care.
* Knowledge of medications used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems.
* Demonstrated understanding of the need to use evidence‑based psychological therapies and how this relates to this post.
* Trained in provision of supervision for CBT.
* Evidence of commitment to continued professional development.
