Mansfield Palace Theatre is looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused Front of House Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Front of House team, you will help deliver an outstanding experience for audiences attending performances, events, and community activities at the theatre. You will be one of the first points of contact for our visitors, helping to create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for all. Key responsibilities include: Welcoming visitors and providing excellent customer service Checking tickets and assisting audiences with seating Providing information about performances, facilities, and services Supporting visitors with accessibility requirements where needed Assisting with crowd management and audience flow before, during, and after performances Helping maintain health and safety standards, including emergency procedures Working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of performances and events We are looking for someone who: Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Enjoys working with people in a busy public environment Is reliable, flexible, and able to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays Can remain calm and professional under pressure Has previous customer service or hospitality experience (desirable, but not essential) In return, you’ll have the opportunity to work in one of Mansfield’s most valued cultural venues, supporting live entertainment and community events while gaining experience in a vibrant theatre environment.
