Job Overview
At HSL, we’re looking for practical, hands-on Remedial Technicians to join our growing team.
In this field-based role, you’ll play a key role in protecting public health by completing a variety of water hygiene and remedial tasks—such as tank cleans, TMV servicing, basic plumbing, and disinfections—to help clients remain compliant with safety regulations.
This is a full-time, permanent role, home-based with travel across your local area. You’ll report to an Account Manager and work closely with our technical and compliance teams. This role suits someone who is methodical, reliable, and takes pride in high-quality work—whether you’re replacing pipework or completing reports.

What we’re looking for?
We’re seeking someone who is:

* Eager to Learn – Keeps skills and qualifications up to date through training
Key Responsibilities
* Perform remedial work to ensure water system compliance
* Install and maintain pipework, tanks, valves, and fittings
* Conduct temperature checks, water sampling, flushing, and descaling
* Support risk assessments and apply control measures
* Ensure compliance with ACoP L8 and relevant safety standards
* Maintain accurate records and report actions needed
* Communicate clearly with clients, site teams, and managers
* Follow all health & safety procedures, including PPE use
* Travel to multiple sites as required
* Conduct clarifier and internal inspections
* Carry out biocide dosing and system servicing
Qualifications & Training
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
* Legionella Awareness Training (ACoP L8 & HSG274 compliance)
* Water Hygiene Training (including disinfection and risk assessment)
* Relevant Health & Safety Training (e.g., COSHH, manual handling, working at heights)
