Risk & Compliance Manager at JMW
JMW’s Risk & Compliance department is seeking to appoint a Risk & Compliance Manager to support the COLP and Risk & Compliance Director. The role involves managing the compliance analysts and serving as the first point of contact for queries.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience providing generalist risk & compliance advice within legal services, along with previous line management experience.
This is a newly created role within the expanding Risk & Compliance department of a Top 100 full-service law firm with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, and London.
The position is primarily based at our Manchester head office, with occasional travel to London and Liverpool. Hybrid working options are available.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the compliance mailbox and supervise the compliance analysts, ensuring queries are handled efficiently.
2. Oversee the file review and audit processes.
3. Handle ad hoc risk and compliance queries.
4. Collaborate with the Solution Delivery team to design and test risk and compliance processes.
5. Review agreements for regulatory compliance.
6. Maintain and update key documents such as the compliance plan, risk register, and risk assessments.
7. Manage key policies and procedures within the team’s scope.
8. Prepare and deliver risk and compliance training.
9. Assist with the supervision of the complaints handling process, if experienced or familiar with it.
