About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchase & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Order raw materials to meet daily production requirements
* Monitor new orders and any order amends to ensure all are completed efficiently and on time
* Keep raw material and finished goods stock levels to a minimum
* Plan transport as cost effectively as possible, including keeping storage requirements to a minimum
* Liase with suppliers and transport providers to ensure that the products are collected and delivered on time
* Control Chep pallets into and out of the factory
* Take stock of packaging on a monthly basis
* Control raw material stocks in and out of cold store and provide directors with stock figures on a weekly basis
* Record all raw material deliveries and create weekly purchase reports in SAP
* Arrange deliveries of finished goods to customers, raise delivery notes to accompany goods being dispatched.
* Check and distribute supplier invoices to relevant departments
* Plan production schedules against the availability of raw material and resource, consideration needs to be given to species segregation and allergen control and staff levels
Skills & Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
* Proven experience (2+ years) in purchasing and/or logistics coordination.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
* Knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation is an advantage.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
