New South Wales is one of the largest and most complex divisions in our network. This role owns it. The role The State Manager is accountable for the people and performance of the division. There is no buffer on this. The standard, the execution, and the result sit here. You will: Lead Regional Managers with clear expectations and strong routines Build leadership capability and strengthen performance across the state Drive disciplined retail standards across every store Own sales, EBIT, wages, shrink and safety outcomes for the state Interpret data and translate it into clear action plans Be present in stores, walking the floor and coaching in the moment Embed operational change while protecting day to day delivery Partner cross functionally to deliver consistent execution This is not a coordination role. It is structured retail leadership with full accountability. What you bring You are already operating at or very close to this level: Senior multi-site retail leadership experience at scale Background in big box, value or high-volume retail environments are essential Proven ability to lift performance across complex portfolios Strong operational discipline across cost, shrink, safety and wages Commercial sharpness and confidence working from data The maturity to influence broadly while holding clear standards You lead with clarity. You act decisively. You do not walk past issues.
