Spire Dunedin Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and committed Breast/Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team.
This key role provides expert clinical leadership and support ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care for patients undergoing cancer treatments.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in guiding patients through their journey, offering specialist advice and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.
Duties and responsibilities:
To provide exemplary planned care for Oncology and Breast Cancer Patients
Deliver effective and appropriate patient care through clinical expertise and leadership
To act as a resource and facilitator for all breast cancer care within the hospitals
Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies both within and out of the hospital setting to ensure patient needs are metWho we're looking for:
Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions
Hold an accredited SACT certificate or willing to work towards this
Hold a Breast Care Certificate
Previous experience in cancer care services
Excellent communication, organisational & IT skills, with the ability to organise work around competing demands on time
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Compassionate, empathetic and able to showcase excellent patient careWorking Hours: Full Time 37.5hrs per week, 5 days, between Monday - Saturday
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time
