Our client is a global leader in aerospace, defence and space technology, delivering cutting-edge systems that support critical national and international missions.
They are currently seeking an Integrated Planning Manager / Project Planner to join their team supporting major programmes and strategic growth projects within Space Digital UK. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex space programmes within a highly collaborative and innovative engineering environment.
THE INTEGRATED PROJECT PLANNER ROLE
As an Integrated Project Planner, you will play a key role in supporting major programmes and strategic bids within Space Digital UK.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, ensuring accurate planning and reporting across the Integrated Project Team (IPT). Working closely with the Project Manager and wider programme teams, you will provide critical insight into project progress, resource planning, risks and financial tracking.
You will also support programme reporting and management decision-making by delivering consolidated project data and ensuring planning standards and best practices are maintained.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Proven experience working within Project Planning or Project Controls environments
* Document control experience in a sensitive data environment
* Experience with file/data management tools such as Adobe, FTP, or Nero
* Previous experience of Product Data Management tools such as Winchell and Teamcenter
* Strong knowledge of project scheduling and planning best practices
* Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and risk management
* Ability to develop and maintain integrated project schedules
* Strong understanding of logic linking, dependencies and Critical Path analysis
* Experience working with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
* Proficient in MS Project Professional
* Strong experience with Primavera P6 Professional
* Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
* Eligible to obtain UK SC Security Clearance
DESIRABLE
* Experience within aerospace, defence, or complex engineering environments
* Experience supporting major programmes or bid activities
* Familiarity with integrated project team (IPT) delivery models
