The Mechanical Safety Engineer role involves ensuring aerospace product safety through investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvements. Responsibilities include generating design concepts compliant with regulatory, customer, international, and military standards, and producing detailed technical documentation such as 3D models and engineering drawings. Effective workload planning, technical calculations, design reviews, and collaboration with stakeholders are essential. Mentoring junior personnel may also be part of the role.

You will have
* IMechE accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree, Aerospace Engineering Degree, or equivalent
* 1st or 2.1 from Russell Group/Redbrick University (desirable)
* Experience in requirements generation, technical evaluations, and trade studies
* Proficiency in hand calculations and finite element software
* Knowledge of GD&T to ASME Y14.5 standards
* Design experience for assembly and manufacturing, preferably in aerospace/defence (e.g., ISO 15288)
