Traffic Scheduler Turners (Soham) Ltd is a privately owned, progressive organisation which is a market leader in warehousing and distribution and currently are looking to recruit a Traffic Scheduler to work within the traffic office at our Glasgow Depot. This an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent position within a well-established distribution company. This role would suit an HGV Driver looking to take a step into a management position. The main functions of the role are:- • Planning collections and deliveries • Scheduling the fleet ensuring drivers are allocated to vehicles and loads • Ensuring drivers are on track with their deliveries and collections • Dealing with any problems drivers may have while out on the road, liaising with the end customer if and when necessary • Administration support with tasks such as order entry, data input and load building. Requirements: Class 1 licence Operational background preferred Shift pattern will be on a rota basis covering 2 weekends in 6 weeks and you will be required to provide on call support out of hours.
