We are currently seeking a Trainee Cover Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting — no prior teaching experience required as full training will be provided.
Key Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older (due to safeguarding requirements)
A passion for working with young people
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliability, flexibility, and a calm approach to classroom management
A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Training Provided Includes:
Classroom management techniques
Safeguarding and child protection training
Lesson delivery support and behaviour strategies
Ongoing mentoring and professional development opportunities
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
Ensure students remain on task with the work set by the class teacher
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Provide feedback to teaching staff about student progress and engagement
Support the school’s ethos and values at all times
This role is ideal for:
