Role Title: Lecturer in Childcare
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Part Time (22.2 hours a week), Permanent
Pro Rata Salary: £20,157.60 - £31,159.20 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)
We are now searching for a Lecturer in Childcare to deliver our Childcare courses from level 2 to level 3.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience and competence within Childcare and hold the relevant teaching qualifications. The role also requires Welsh language skills, and training can be provided to support this requirement.
As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students. You will also be responsible for enrolling students on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as ensuring the safety and welfare of our students at all times.
Essential Requirements
1. Qualified to at least Level 4 in a relevant specialist subject area
2. Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, C&G 7407)
3. Able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice
4. Competent digital literacy skills.
5. Be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques
Welsh Language skills are an essential requirement for this role, however Welsh learners* with the ability to reach a level 3/4 within a 18 months to 2 year period are also encouraged to apply. Welsh learners will need to be at Level 2 and demonstrate a commitment to achieving fluency.
