As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing local operational teams involved in mains laying and new supplier connections for developers of all types and sizes.
You will supervise these teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and meets our client’s expectations. Your role includes operational management, focusing on safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
Customer service and health and safety are critical. You will ensure work is carried out professionally, building developer confidence and adopting a 'right first time' approach. Collaboration with relevant teams will be essential to manage and deliver programmes effectively.
Developer satisfaction is measured through D-MeX, a regulatory measure. You will work closely with Yorkshire Water to improve D-MeX ratings and demonstrate management skills that show genuine care about the developers' feedback on Network Plus’s services.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise a designated group of Developer Services teams and their daily activities.
* Organise labour efficiently, including recruitment, disciplinary actions, wages, and absence management.
* Manage resources such as materials and plant.
* Ensure accurate documentation of work, including photographs and records of as-laid works.
* Visit sites regularly to review progress and ensure standards are maintained.
* Conduct team briefings monthly; coach and develop operational teams.
* Perform team inspections, focusing on compliance, quality, and right first-time delivery.
* Act as a Health & Safety Representative, conducting inspections, raising safety issues, and investigating incidents.
Experience and Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications, e.g., NRWSA at supervisory level.
* Health & Safety qualification (advantageous).
* Experience with deep excavation work.
* Financial and commercial awareness.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
