Job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to lead the education and training for our growing pre-registration pharmacy technical team and support staff.
This role requires excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Relevant experience and good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
1. Leading on the delivery and training for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support staff
2. Overseeing, developing and delivering structured training programmes and schedules for apprentices of all levels, and sourcing suitable training providers to deliver courses
3. Planning and prioritising your own workload and organising staff training in liaison with other service managers
4. Be a direct line manager for the pre-registration pharmacy technicians
5. Participate in the delivery of Medicines Optimisation including supporting dispensary and ward based services
6. Finally accuracy checking in the dispensary as rostered.

Essential
11. BTEC National Certificate in Science (Pharmaceutical) or equivalent qualification
12. Undertaken Educational Supervisor Training with accredited provider

13. A1 Assessor or D32/33 Assessor award
14. V1 Internal Verifier award (or working toward)
Experience
Essential
15. At least four years experience of Technical pharmacy service delivery with at least two years post qualification
16. Experience in supervising and mentoring staff
17. Member of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK

18. Able to analyse and interpret a wide range of technical information
19. Numeracy skills
20. Able to assess staff performance against agreed standards and criteria, and to provide feedback and development
