Category Manager – Marketing Procurement

A major UK organisation is looking for an experienced Marketing Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of a high‑profile portfolio covering media, market research, production, creative and related marketing services.
This is a key role within a mature, well‑established procurement function. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders across multiple business units and manage relationships with major agency groups, driving value, innovation and commercial performance.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading category strategy across core marketing spend areas
* Managing sourcing activity, negotiations and contract delivery
* Influencing and challenging senior stakeholders to shape commercial decisions
* Building strong relationships across a large, complex organisation
* Driving cost, cash and value improvements in a PE‑backed environment
* Overseeing key supplier partnerships and ensuring compliance and performance
What we’re looking for
* Strong marketing procurement experience (media, creative, production, research etc.)
* Background in retail or a fast‑paced consumer environment
* Confident stakeholder manager who can influence at senior levels
* Curious, proactive, self‑starter who thrives with autonomy
* Comfortable navigating a large organisation and building networks quickly
* Able to work onsite in Nottingham, five days a week
